A vintage sculptural ceramic ewer with a low rounded body, an irregular flared mouth and an oversized scroll handle. Green, white and dark brown glaze moves across the surface in thick, bubbled and crackled areas, giving the piece an almost geological texture.
Its compact proportions and expressive silhouette lend themselves to display as a decorative object, with the handle and changing glaze offering interest from several angles. The organic form sits comfortably within an eclectic or organic modern interior.
The unmarked piece appears consistent with mid-to-late 20th-century European studio pottery. Its maker and precise origin are unknown.
Condition Good vintage condition, in original, unaltered condition with some imperfections. Irregular glaze coverage, bubbling, crackling and raised areas are described as characteristic of the decorative glaze and handmade nature of the piece. No maker's mark or signature is present. Please examine the photographs for surface and condition details.
