A charming mid-century French manual coffee grinder by Peugeot Frères, featuring a soft sage-green painted metal body, warm wooden details and a traditional hand-operated crank.
Its compact square form combines a rounded metal grinding housing, a wooden top plate and a small drawer for collecting ground coffee. The original Peugeot Frères lion emblem remains clearly visible on the front, while the metal crank bears the Peugeot Frères signature and lion engraving.
The delicate sage-green colour, complemented by the natural warmth of the wood, gives this vintage coffee mill an understated decorative appeal. An attractive accent for a French country kitchen, coffee station or collected interior.
About Peugeot Frères
Founded in the early 19th century in eastern France, Peugeot Frères became renowned for manufacturing coffee mills, pepper mills and other precision metal products, long before the Peugeot name became associated with automobiles. Its coffee grinders were widely used in French households and are now appreciated as collectible examples of French domestic and industrial design.
Condition
Very good vintage condition overall, with a well-preserved sage-green painted exterior, original Peugeot Frères label and wooden components showing only minor signs of age and use. The drawer and internal grinding mechanism are particularly clean and well preserved. The grinding mechanism is functional.
