Vintage enamelled ceramic vase produced by the Longwy manufactory in France, featuring a vibrant floral pattern on a blue ground. The piece displays the characteristic Longwy cloisonné-style enamel decoration, with rich colors and a glossy finish. The underside bears the Longwy France stamp.

About Longwy
Founded in 1798 in the Lorraine region of eastern France, the Faïencerie de Longwy is renowned for its distinctive enamelled ceramics. While the manufactory initially produced traditional earthenware, it became especially celebrated in the late 19th century for its cloisonné-style enamels inspired by Islamic, Persian, and later Art Deco decorative traditions. By the mid-20th century, Longwy had developed vibrant, highly saturated enamel surfaces defined by fine black outlines and intricate pattern work.

Pieces marked “Décoré à la main – Longwy – France” reflect this continuing enamel tradition, characterized by meticulous hand-applied decoration and luminous color contrasts. Longwy ceramics are valued for their technical precision and decorative richness, and remain among the most recognizable enamelled faience produced in France.

Condition
Good vintage condition with small imperfections consistent with age. A small enamel chip to the base measuring approx. 0.09-0.12 inches (2.5–3 mm) is visible upon close inspection (see photos). Otherwise, the vase presents well with no structural cracks or restorations.
