A beautifully sculptural vintage wooden trough bowl, hand-carved from a single solid piece of wood and distinguished by its flowing, asymmetrical silhouette and remarkable natural patina.
Its elongated form, gently rising edges and irregular contours give the piece an almost organic, sculptural presence. The wood displays a rich interplay of warm honey, soft brown and darker weathered tones, with distinctive grain patterns that reveal the natural character of the material.
Left untreated, without lacquer or an applied glossy finish, the surface retains a wonderfully tactile, matte appearance. Subtle variations in colour, carving and texture contribute to its authentic, timeworn beauty.
Equally striking displayed on its own as a sculptural object, this versatile bowl can also be styled as a rustic table centerpiece with seasonal fruit, dried botanicals or decorative arrangements. Its understated character works beautifully in both traditional country interiors and contemporary spaces inspired by natural materials and wabi-sabi aesthetics.
