This circular Swedish wall mirror is part of the iconic Piggelin series, designed in the 1970s by Marianne Westman for Rörstrand, one of Europe’s oldest porcelain manufactories.
The mirror features a hand-painted floral motif in shades of deep blue, green, and white, framed by a glazed porcelain surround. The joyful, graphic decoration and balanced proportions make Piggelin one of Westman’s most recognizable and collectible designs. The reverse bears the Rörstrand mark, the Piggelin model name, and the designer’s initials “MW.”
Designed as a decorative wall object rather than a purely functional mirror, this piece reflects the optimistic spirit of Scandinavian design in the 1970s.
