Ceramic flower frog (pique-fleurs) vase produced by Les Potiers d’Accolay, France, circa 1960s. The vase features a pierced globular base designed to hold individual flower stems, topped by a tall flared neck. Finished in a mottled glaze in green, ochre, and brown tones typical of Accolay studio ceramics. Retains the original “Les Potiers d’Accolay – Made in France” label.

About Accolay
The Accolay pottery workshop was founded in Burgundy, France, in 1945 by André Boutaud, Louis Dangon, Slavik Paley, and Raudé, following their training under ceramist Alexandre Kostanda. Established in a former factory in the village of Accolay (Yonne), the studio became known for its experimental, handcrafted ceramics. In its early years, Accolay also produced ceramic jewelry and accessories that were notably used by Christian Dior for his “New Look” collections, before gaining international recognition for its distinctive mid-century studio pottery.

Condition
Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor variations and surface nuances in the glaze are inherent to handcrafted ceramics and consistent with age.
