About Camille Fauré
Camille Fauré (1874–1956) was one of the most distinguished enamel artists of 20th-century Limoges, helping to revive and modernize the centuries-old tradition of painted enamel in France. Trained within the Limoges enamel heritage, he developed a highly personal style that gained international recognition during the Art Deco period, particularly in the 1920s and 1930s. His works were exhibited widely and earned acclaim for their technical refinement, luminous surfaces, and innovative use of layered enamels. Fauré’s atelier became synonymous with high-quality art enamels, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. Today, pieces bearing the Fauré name are sought after by collectors for their historical significance within the Limoges enamel tradition and for their enduring decorative elegance.
