Alternating mottled turquoise and warm cream glazes are decorated with lively stylized zoomorphic motifs in turquoise, brown, black, ochre and burgundy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach dish has a slightly angular, individually shaped form, creating a wonderfully graphic composition when assembled. The undersides are hand-marked “Vallauris Borty.”\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOriginally designed for serving aperitifs, olives, nuts and hors d'oeuvres, the set is equally appealing today as a decorative example of postwar Vallauris pottery.
